Administration Committee

POSITION TITLE: ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE

TASK: The Session, through the Administration Committee, provides for all facets of management of church property, including grounds, buildings, and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Makes provision for church buildings, both immediate and long range.

2. Provides for custodial care of church buildings and grounds.

3. Renovates or arranges for repairs of church buildings when needed.

4. Provides for landscaping, maintenance, and care of church grounds.

5. Carries out policies related to the use of church property.

6. Provides process and liaison for Committees or groups, other than church groups, using the building (i.e., Scouts, Pre-School, etc.).

7. Evaluates insurance needs and recommends to Session what coverage is needed.

8. Sponsors semi-annual work days for repair, service, and clean-up of church and grounds.

9. Appraises equipment and makes recommendations to Session.

10. Provides budget items to the Mission and Stewardship Committee by October 15.

11. Provides events for annual calendar for the upcoming year to the church office by November 15.

SUGGESTED MEMBERS OF COMMITTEE:   Includes at least one member of the Session, who is Chair of the Committee, and interested volunteers from the Congregation.

ACCOUNTABILITY:   The Administration Committee works through the Session to successfully carry out its work.
