Mission Statement
Beliefs
With God as our Creator, we believe Faith Presbyterian Church is a living branch of the vine of Christ. Through God’s gift of grace in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed, and inherit eternal life. We believe God speaks to us through worship, prayer, study, and relationships so that we may embody the love of Christ in the world. The Holy Spirit inspires us to live in covenant with God as a loving, supportive community drawing strength from our diverse gifts and sharing the light of Christ.
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’ (Matthew 17:20)
Vision
We envision a church that:
- Is growing in understanding of God’s plan for us in ministry;
- Welcomes, affirms and serves all people;
- Is invigorated by the Holy Spirit, alive and involved in community, near and far; and
- Bears witness to Christ by sharing God’s love in daily life.
Mission
Therefore we dedicate ourselves to:
| Worship: | Opening our hearts to the Spirit of God through prayer, music and proclamation of the Word; |
| Evangelism/Mission: | Sharing the love of Christ in our community, assisting people everywhere in meeting their needs; |
| Education: | Offering spiritual resources for all ages through a variety of programs; |
| Fellowship: | Gathering in community to strengthen the ties that build up the body of Christ by welcoming others into our Family of Faith; and |
| Stewardship: | Giving of ourselves to the church, the community, and God’s creation. |
