Praising God

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth…come before him with joyful songs.  Psalm 100:1-2

We welcome all who come to worship with us.  Faith Presbyterian Church is a small, friendly church with a casual atmosphere.  Our traditional worship offers an opportunity to reflect on your personal relationship with God in the company of members and guests who worship in a Presbyterian liturgical style.

Liturgy is led by lay leaders, with traditional and non-traditional hymns sung from hymn books, a unison prayer of confession is offered, and special music by our Choir and soloists.  A children’s message invites participation from our young worshippers, after which the children go to Sunday school classes.  Our pastor leads the congregation in the preaching of God’s word and prayers of the people.  We offer open communion usually on the first Sunday of each month.  Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s Table.  Following worship all are invited to come together in the parlor for refreshments and fellowship.

Our Choir is in session September through May, led by our Music Director, Mr. John Derrickson.  Choir rehearsal is held every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Worship Times (September through May) 10:30 a.m.

Informal Worship is held once a year, usually in August, when worship takes place in the parlor instead of the sanctuary.  The dress is very casual and worship is followed by a carry-in picnic.

Candlelight Service is held on Christmas Eve at 7:30 p.m. following our Open House.  Refreshments are served and it is a very special time for fellowship.  The candlelight service is absolutely beautiful.
